Design a readable cover

Make a readable video cover with a short headline, clear contrast and careful photo positioning. Check the actual design at a small size.

Make the headline easy to read

1. Choose a vertical Reel or TikTok cover, or a landscape YouTube thumbnail. Add a photo or start with a solid background.
2. Use a short headline and one supporting detail. Put the most useful words first.
3. Move the photo crop so the subject and the headline have their own space. Adjust Crop X and Crop Y in Size.
4. Try an outline, shadow or background panel when the photo makes the letters hard to read. Keep the effect subtle enough to preserve the letter shapes.
5. Check the small cover preview. If you cannot read the title at a glance, shorten it or increase its size.
6. Download the image and check the destination app preview. Feed, profile and player crops can differ.
