Turn your guest list into printable place cards
Prepare two columns
In a spreadsheet, put the guest name in the first column and the table number or short detail in the second. Copy the cells without the column headings and paste into Names, one per line. A tab separates each name from its detail. Repeated names are kept.
Check the longest names first
Keep one guest on each line. Check accents and spelling, then look at the longest name in the preview. The editor may reduce text to fit; increase the card width or reduce the font size if a name becomes too small.
Choose flat or folded
The example uses 85 mm width and 40 mm face height. A folded tent card therefore uses an 85 × 80 mm piece before folding. Uncheck Folded tent cards for a flat card. Check the dimensions against any holders you plan to use.
Print one sheet, then finish the set
Choose A4 or US Letter to match your paper. Download PDF and print at Actual size / 100%, with one-sided printing for these tent cards. Measure a card, check the text, cut along the outside marks and fold on the dashed centre line. Test your printer’s supported card stock before printing every guest.
