Welcome to FontStyleLab at www.fontstylelab.com. This document outlines both your legal rights and responsibilities as well as our commitment to your privacy.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
FontStyleLab provides browser-based tools for text graphics, images, printable materials and video. You can personalize built-in designs, use your own content and download finished files. Features include:
You are responsible for the content you supply and how you use the service and its downloads. You must have the permissions needed for your intended use. Do not use the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
The images, templates and finished-design licence forms part of these terms. It explains permitted personal, classroom and commercial uses, sales of finished products, and restrictions on redistributing built-in assets. You retain any rights you hold in content you supply; FontStyleLab does not claim ownership of it.
Fonts available through Google Fonts are subject to individual licences from their respective copyright holders. FontStyleLab’s hosted catalogue includes SIL Open Font License, Apache and Ubuntu licences. Read Fonts & licences for the original notices and how these permissions apply to artwork and font files.
If you open a font file from your device, you are responsible for having permission for your intended use under that file’s licence. Our bundled-font licences do not cover files you supply. FontStyleLab is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
We may include third-party and affiliate links on our website. These have separate privacy policies, and we have no responsibility for their content or activities.
Your entered text is rendered and exported in your browser. It is not sent to FontStyleLab for processing or included in our analytics events.
The curved-text, printable-letter and SVG tools can also open a font file from your device. That font is processed locally and is not uploaded or included in analytics. Their bundled font files are served by FontStyleLab.
Editing tools keep a draft with the current browser history entry so Back and Forward can restore your text, settings and selected media. Drafts stay on your device and are not sent to FontStyleLab or added to My projects. Your browser may retain them when restoring a browsing session. Use Save project to keep work explicitly.
Favorite font names are saved in this browser. Opening comparison beside a tool exchanges your text and font choices locally between the two tabs. Your original design stays open.
When you choose Save project, an editable copy of your text, settings and any photo or logo is stored in this browser's local database. Projects are not uploaded to FontStyleLab. You can delete them in My projects or clear this site's browser data. A downloaded project backup includes its text and images.
The image tools process photos and logos locally. Continuing to another image tool or changing language creates a temporary local transfer that is read once and expires after ten minutes. Expired transfers are removed when the project store is next written; clearing browser data removes them too.
Video clips are processed on your device and are not uploaded to FontStyleLab. Saving a video project stores its clip locally. Saved styles contain fonts, colors and an optional logo. Clearing browser data removes local projects and styles; downloaded backups remain wherever you saved them.
Share tool link and Copy link share a public page URL without your design. Social shortcuts open the platform you choose with that link. Share your design prepares an image locally for download or your device's share menu. Images are not uploaded to FontStyleLab. Analytics can record project and sharing actions, but never project names, text, photos or logos.
When you choose another language, the current tool can temporarily carry your text and settings in this tab’s session storage. The transfer is used once, expires after ten minutes and is never sent to FontStyleLab. Local font files are not stored; open your font again after changing language.
We use local storage on your device to remember selected fonts and appearance settings, such as colors, spacing, and export scale. These preferences do not include entered text. You can remove them by clearing this site's browser data.
When you explicitly carry a design between the text generator and font comparison, we temporarily place your text and settings in this tab’s session storage. The destination removes the transfer when it reads it; unused transfers become invalid after ten minutes and are cleared when the tab session ends. This text is never put in a URL or sent to FontStyleLab.
Send digitally prepares the selected side of your card or invitation as a PNG on your device. Share card passes that image to the app you choose, such as WhatsApp, through your device's sharing menu. It does not include your original photo file, editable project or other card sides. FontStyleLab does not upload the image or send messages for you. Browser drafts and saved projects can still retain your original photos, as described above.
Copy message text writes the displayed wording and event details to your clipboard only when you press the button. This feature does not read your clipboard. Downloaded images and copied text can remain after you clear this site's browser data. Clipboard history or syncing may keep additional copies, depending on your device settings.
Review the selected side and message before sharing personal details. Once you share, the chosen app's privacy policy applies to its handling of the image and message. Recipients can save or forward their copies. FontStyleLab cannot recall messages or delete copies held by an app or recipient.
Optional tool feedback records the tool, your Yes or No answer, and a predefined reason if you choose one. It does not include your design, photos, text or contact details. A browser-tab session preference prevents repeated feedback prompts for the same tool.
We use Simple Analytics to measure page visits and actions such as starting the tool and preparing a download. Events include the export format, whether it is a batch, the number of fonts, the built-in style preset or a “custom” label, and a general error category when an export fails. Collection events also record clicks to customize a built-in design or download a ready-made pack, with its design ID, paper size and character set. Ideas-page events record which built-in example link was opened. A pack-download click does not confirm that the file was saved. Events do not include your entered text or selected font names. We respect the browser’s Do Not Track setting.
When live affiliate recommendations are enabled, analytics may record a card view or link click with the offer ID, provider and placement. Mock offers do not send these events. Affiliate destinations have their own tracking and privacy policies.
Some affiliate images may load directly from an approved provider. These requests share your IP address and browser information with that provider, even without a click. We do not include your entered text in image requests.
If configured, our hosting provider supplies an approximate country to select relevant recommendations. A shopping-country preference cookie saved previously may also be used until it expires. We do not request your precise location or send your country in affiliate analytics.
Our server logs request details such as IP address, page path, browser information, and response status for operation and troubleshooting. A session cookie supports request rate limiting. All tool and interface fonts are served by FontStyleLab. Font loading does not send visitor data to Google, and font requests do not include your entered text.
Interface fonts, tool fonts, and interface and export libraries are served by FontStyleLab. Loading these resources does not send visitor data to a third-party CDN.
