Your text stays in your browser.

Short text produces a narrower image. Line width controls wrapping; padding adds space around the visible letters and effects. Previews and downloads use the same wrapping.

From words to a ready-to-use image

Add an outline, gradient, shadow, neon glow or retro layers under Text effect. Effects appear in both previews and PNG/PDF downloads. Reset styles removes the effect.

Create a transparent text PNG for an overlay, a colored label, or a title for your next design. Preview up to ten Google Fonts and export each design individually, or download all designs as a PDF with one design per page.

How do I make a transparent text image for a slide?

Enter your words, choose a Google Font and adjust the size and color. Select Transparent PNG below the design, then insert the downloaded image into your slide or document. The empty background stays transparent. You and the person opening the presentation do not need to install the font to display this image.

How do I print several font samples on one sheet?

Choose Compare these fonts & make a handout to carry over your words and selected fonts. The comparison tool shows compact samples at the same font size and makes an A4 or US Letter PDF with several labeled samples per sheet. Longer samples continue onto additional pages. Choose “Use this font” there to return here and finish your graphic.

How do transparent PNGs and padding work?

The checkerboard is only a preview guide. PNG fills the background with the selected Background color, even when the preview is transparent. Transparent PNG leaves the background empty, even when a solid background is previewed. PDFs follow the Background setting. In Fit to text mode, padding surrounds the visible letters and their effects, including accents and descenders; leading and trailing empty lines are cropped from the image.

How large will my download be?

In Fit to text mode, Wrap long lines breaks long lines at your chosen line width. Turning it off preserves entered line breaks and stops automatic wrapping. Designs support up to 100 lines, including blank and wrapped lines. The preview card shows the exact download dimensions in pixels; 2× doubles both dimensions compared with 1×. Images are limited to 8192 pixels per side and 40 million pixels overall. Tall previews scroll; downloads contain the full image.

Can I print my text on A4 paper?

Choose A4 portrait (210 × 297 mm) or landscape (297 × 210 mm) from Canvas size. A4 wraps text inside page margins; line width and padding apply only to Fit to text. Fit text to page shrinks overflowing text, with an 8 px minimum, and the card shows the size used. Turn it off to keep your chosen size. If text still does not fit, shorten it or reduce the margins. Each font exports as one page. Margin guides stay in previews. Choose 150, 300 or 600 ppi; PDFs keep the paper size, and PNGs record the resolution. Print PDFs at actual size (100%).

What should I know about fonts and PDF exports?

Fonts load as you select or preview them. Some families only provide regular lettering; your browser may synthesize bold or italic. Characters a font does not include use a fallback font, so check the preview for your language. PDFs contain rendered images, not editable or vector text. Export scale changes image resolution while the PDF page size stays the same.

Can I use my text graphics commercially?

Google Fonts permits commercial use under each font’s licence. Our Fonts & licences page explains artwork exports, bundled font notices and font sources.
