Print a banner, one letter per page
Enter a word or phrase to make a PDF for classroom displays, party banners or paper lettering. Repeated letters get separate pages, in the order you entered them. Spaces and line breaks do not produce blank pages.
- Enter your letters and choose filled or outline lettering.
- Select A4 or US Letter, orientation and margins. Fit to page uses a consistent font scale across the whole set.
- For a measured size, choose Exact height. Download the PDF and print at Actual size or 100%.
How do I print large outline letters, one per A4 page?
Enter the letters for your banner, choose Outline and select A4 paper. Use Fit to page for large letters with their natural proportions, or Exact height to set each visible letter's height in millimeters. Download all pages as PDF, then print at Actual size or 100%. Each non-space character gets its own page, including repeated letters.
How does exact letter height work?
Height is the visible top-to-bottom size of each letter, including its outline. A 150 mm setting makes each visible letter 150 mm tall, so lowercase and uppercase letters are scaled individually in this mode. Wide letters may not fit at a height that works for narrow ones; reduce the height or margins, or choose landscape. The tool stops the export instead of silently shrinking an exact-size letter.
Why are my printed letters smaller than expected?
Fit or Shrink in the print dialog can reduce the letter size. Match the printer paper to the PDF, then choose Actual size or 100%. If you need a specific visible letter height, use Exact height in the generator before downloading. Leave suitable margins for your printer and measure one test letter before printing the full set.
Are the outlines suitable for large prints?
The PDF contains vector paths rather than screenshots, so the lettering remains sharp when enlarged. Outline mode leaves the interiors unfilled, useful for coloring or tracing. Each letter stays on one sheet; tiling a single letter across several sheets is not included.
Are my words or font files uploaded?
Your words, font files and generated designs are processed in your browser. Bundled font files load from FontStyleLab as you browse previews or select a font. A font opened from your device is kept only in this page's memory. It is not uploaded or saved for a later visit.
Which fonts and languages are supported?
Choose from 83 bundled fonts, with search and filters for sans serif, serif, handwriting, display and monospace styles. Font names preview the actual outlines used in your downloads. They support Latin, Greek and Cyrillic lettering when the chosen font includes it. Missing characters produce an explanation instead of silently using another font. Emoji and complex-script shaping are not supported. Static TTF, OTF and WOFF uploads are supported; variable, color and WOFF2 fonts are not. The main text editor has a broader Google Fonts selection and browser text shaping.
Bundled fonts use the SIL Open Font License. For uploaded fonts, follow your font's license.
