Your text stays in your browser.
A4 wraps inside the margins. Fit text to page reduces overflowing text; each card shows the size used. Dashed margin guides are not downloaded.
Wrapping is the same in previews and downloads. Padding adds space outside this width.

From words to a ready-to-use image
Add an outline, gradient, shadow, neon glow or retro layers under Text effect. Effects appear in both previews and PNG/PDF downloads. Reset styles removes the effect.
Create a transparent text PNG for an overlay, a colored label, or a title for your next design. Preview up to ten Google Fonts and export each design individually, or download all designs as a PDF with one design per page.
How do I make a transparent text image for a slide?
Enter your words, choose a Google Font and adjust the size and color. Select Transparent PNG below the design, then insert the downloaded image into your slide or document. The empty background stays transparent. You and the person opening the presentation do not need to install the font to display this image.
How do I print several font samples on one sheet?
Choose Compare these fonts & make a handout to carry over your words and selected fonts. The comparison tool shows compact samples at the same font size and makes an A4 or US Letter PDF with several labeled samples per sheet. Longer samples continue onto additional pages. Choose “Use this font” there to return here and finish your graphic.
How do transparent PNGs and padding work?
The checkerboard shows empty space; it is never included in the file. Transparent PNGs keep that space transparent. Choose a solid background to fill it with a color. Padding is measured around the visible letters, including accents and descenders. Entered line breaks are preserved; leading and trailing empty lines are cropped away.
How large will my download be?
Long lines wrap automatically at your chosen line width. Turn off “Wrap long lines” to keep a single-line design. The preview shows the exact PNG width and height in pixels. A 2× scale doubles both dimensions. Images are limited to 8,192 pixels per side and 40 million pixels in total. Tall designs scroll inside the preview; the download includes the full image at the displayed output dimensions.
Can I print my text on A4 paper?
Choose A4 portrait (210 × 297 mm) or landscape from Canvas size. Set your page margins and vertical position; text wraps inside the margins. “Fit text to page” reduces overflowing text, and the card shows the font size used. Turn it off to keep your chosen size; text that does not fit must be made smaller before downloading. Each font exports as one full page. Dashed margin guides only appear in previews. Choose 150, 300 or 600 ppi, subject to the image size limits. A4 PDFs keep the correct paper dimensions at every resolution; print them at actual size (100%). PNGs include the selected resolution in their print metadata.
What should I know about fonts and PDF exports?
Fonts load as you select or preview them. Some families only provide regular lettering; your browser may synthesize bold or italic. Characters a font does not include use a fallback font, so check the preview for your language. PDFs contain rendered images, not editable or vector text. Export scale changes image resolution while the PDF page size stays the same.
Can I use my text graphics commercially?
Google Fonts permits commercial use under each font’s licence. Our Fonts & licences page explains artwork exports, bundled font notices and font sources.

Features, sizes and downloads
What can I customize, and what are the limits?
Enter up to 5000 characters and preview up to ten fonts. Set type from 8–240 px, line width from 120–1600 px and padding from 0–200 px. Combine alignment, spacing, color, transparency and text effects for headings, labels and overlays.
Text effects include filled outlines, gradients, offset shadows, neon glow and retro layers. Adjust the effect color and size, then download a text graphic with a solid or transparent background.
Which sizes and file formats can I download?
Fit-to-text downloads offer 1×, 2×, 3×, 4×, 6× and 8× scales. A4 exports offer 150, 300 and 600 ppi. PNG output is limited to 8192 px per side and 40 million pixels overall. PDF pages contain rendered images, one design per page.
